Dreher central grinding systems
The Dreher grinding mills are fast-turning grinding mills that are specifically suited for larger capacities. Dreher supplies various grinding mills, suitable for processing plastics from 40 kg/hour up to and including 4,000 kg/hour.
The solid grinding mills from Dreher have been further developed through years of experience and have a number of advantages over other fast-turning grinding mills. For example, the bearings are placed outside the grinding chamber and the rotor is designed from 1 piece of steel with fixed blades. The grinding mills can be equipped with a conveyor belt and extraction system if desired.
Features and Benefits:
- Specially for large capacities

German quality
The Dreher solid rotors, turned and milled from a full bar of steel, have a high torque and prevent the cutting material from coming onto the surface. The high-quality steel blades are integrated into the rotor over the entire length and do not need to be adjusted, even after several grindings. This ensures that the rotor is dynamically balanced for life. Optionally, a fully soundproof hopper is available which can reduce the noise to a level of 85 dB.
- Various options available such as cyclone filter or metal detector
- Models also available for wet grinding
- Maximum chunks of 400kg at a time (depending on the model)
- High throughput speed
- Easily removable and adjustable blades
- Fixed blades on rotor and 2 adjustable blades on frame
- Externally mounted bearings (not susceptible to dust)
