Innovation in St. Petersburg, Florida
In September we proudly completed an innovative project in St. Petersburg, Florida (USA). Our customer manufactures high-quality products using seven industrial 3D printers. Flexibility and efficiency are essential during this production process. This includes keeping the materials dry so that they can be processed smoothly and continuously on each of the printers. A fun challenge for Moretec that required a smart solution.
The solution
In collaboration with Vismec we designed a custom solution. Dryers are connected to four central vacuum systems: one to supply the dryers and three to supply the 3D printers with large quantities of material. The installation also included Vismec Dryfeed which adds dry air to the granulate during transport. This prevents the material from absorbing moisture and ensures consistent quality. Finally, we connected the system to the Vismec Supervisor . This allows the customer to easily monitor and adjust the entire process via PC, tablet or mobile phone.
